May Book haul

So I was a bit stuck for what to do for this week’s post, and then I remembered Victoria does book hauls. I think it’s a pretty good idea for when you’re stuck for a post (plus I may have gone a bit overboard with book buying this month)

REVIEW! Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

I actually got this book on the 2 for £7 offer in Tesco and had been wanting to read it for a while. I'd seen a lot of people on Instagram raving about it, so obviously I had to see for myself and oh wow I'm so glad I did.
After reading back this post I can confirm it is almost spoiler free (but the kind of spoiler doesn't technically spoil anything!
My Rating: ★(and a half)

REVIEW! Scream Site by Justina Ireland

I would like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC for Scream Site by Justina Ireland

I really liked the sound of this book when I saw it available for request, but unfortunately I was a little disappointed.

Books I have on pre-order

My TBR pile is currently overflowing on my bedside cabinet and bookshelves so I shouldn't be ordering more books right? Wrong.... The below are all the books I currently have pre-ordered from once shop or another

I got this tag from Victoria's blog, which you can find here. We're both big readers so this is the perfect tag for us both.

My current NetGalley shelf

So I recently discovered the amazing NetGalley where publishers provide ARC's to book reviewers. I've been lucky enough to be accepted for a few books already.

REVIEW! Furyborn by Claire Legrand

So this is actually book one in the Empirium trilogy and I read an ARC that my friend gave me. I was really excited by this book but unfortunately I can only give this 3 out of 5 stars.

April Favourites 2018

It's that time of the month again where I share with you all a list of my favourite things (in general) that I’ve discovered in the month of April.

My Pottermore Sorting

So unless you've been living under a rock for the past 7 years you would have heard of Pottermore. I signed up the moment it was possible, at first I was sorted into Hufflepuff, which I thought was wrong, but I went with it and took on my new Hufflepuff status. I earned points for my house, made friends and really enjoyed being part of the Pottermore community.

My favourite book covers

I'm a sucker for a good book cover, and sometimes it can be a deciding factor for me on whether I pick up a book to read the blurb. So I thought I'd share with you some of the amazing books I've discovered simply because the cover gripped me - these are in no particular order.

REVIEW - Things I'd Rather Do Than Die by Christine Hurley Deriso

Firstly I would like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC for Things I’d Rather Do Than Die by Christine Hurley Deriso.

So I was a little unsure of this book after getting about 5% into it and realising that Christianity is mentioned quite a lot, only to then look at a few reviews and see other people had the same realisation as me. I also saw a lot of the reviewers DNF this book, which of course made me even more determined to finish it. Overall, I'm glad I did.

REVIEW - The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw

So I got this book in my March box of BookBoxClub, the theme of the month was 'Under The Sea'. Anyone that knows me, knows I love mermaids/sirens/pirates, anything to do with the sea, so this theme was perfect for me. After I read the blurb of the book I was already obsessed with the idea of the book and now I've finished reading it I'm just obsessed with the book itself. After reading back this post I can confirm it is spoiler free! Woo, I'm getting better at this because this time I didn't even have to change anything!
