June Favourites 2018

It's that time of the month again where I share with you all a list of my favourite things (in general) that I’ve discovered in the month of June.

REVIEW! War Storm by Victoria Aveyard

My heart is broken that this series has ended, but oh my. What. An. Ending. The Red Queen series was recommended to me about two years ago by a colleague I worked with at the time (I could always rely on Anna to recommend good books to me). I borrowed Red Queen off her and while I was halfway through the book, I ordered myself a copy of Red Queen and Glass Sword. I got through them quite quickly then had a six month wait for book three, Kings Cage, with only the two novellas in Cruel Crown (Queen Song and Steel Scars) to keep me happy. However, the year and a half wait from finishing Kings Cage in February 2017 to War Storm in May 2018 was worse though. But after the book signing I attended (which you can read about here) my wait was over and I have now finished the series...

WARNING! This review will have spoilers; I honestly tried to write this review spoiler free but I couldn't do it.

My Rating: ★★★★★

Fighting against my anxiety (with a book signing)

For those that know me, they know that thanks to my anxiety I’ve never been able to go to any kind of event on my own. I’m talking book signings, comic cons, cinema, concerts - you get where I’m coming from. Because of this I’ve missed out on more than I can count; friends who would usually come with me to these things don’t always necessarily have the money or time (which is obvious as they have their own lives and can't always babysit a 20 something).

Books I have on pre-order

My TBR pile is currently overflowing on my bedside cabinet and bookshelves so I shouldn't be ordering more books right? Wrong.... The below are all the books I currently have pre-ordered from once shop or another

Pokemon Go Book Tag

So I saw this tag on my friend's blog (http://booklover1989.blogspot.co.uk/) but she got the tag from https://readatmidnight.com/2016/07/18/pokemon-go-book-tag/

As books and Pokemon are two of my favourite things I felt it only right I do this tag too...
