My first ever Disneyland Paris trip

This week is a non-bookish post because last week I went to Disneyland Paris for the first time and I had the best time ever. I'm so sad to be back and living a normal, non-Disney life again.

Also I want to show off the 5 different sets of ears I wore over the 5 days, because the three makers deserve all the love and attention. I've put the links to their Instagram's at the bottom of this post.

REVIEW! These Rebel Waves by Sara Raasch

I don't usually have a book review as my weekly post, however I'm currently in Disneyland Paris (head over to my Instagram stories at @captainfurby to see my daily updates), but next week I'll be back to normal with weekly posts.

So anyway, this book came in my August Fairyloot and I really liked the sound of it, I also won a giveaway for the ARC. I buddy read this book, but I couldn't manage to stick to the daily pages and finished it a couple of days ahead of everyone else.

September Favourites 2018

It's that time of the month again where I share with you all a list of my favourite things (in general) that I’ve discovered in the month of September.

September Reading Wrap-up

Time for my monthly book summary, as I mentioned last month, I went away with some of my book club, so I managed to get through a little more than the usual amount.

How a book box subscription has changed my life

So at the beginning of September 2017 I signed up for a Book Box Club subscription, I had never even heard of book boxes until just over a month before when I met Libby and Kate at YALC. Warning, this post is going to be very soppy!

REVIEW! Lakes of Mars by Merritt Graves

I would like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC for Lakes of Mars by Merritt Graves. Unfortunately, I could not finish this book and ended up DNF'ing this at only 17%

My Rating: ★

REVIEW! You Let Me In by Lucy Clarke

I would like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC for You Let Me In by Lucy Clarke. This review will not contain spoilers.

My Rating: ★★★★.5

REVIEW! The Lost Witch by Melvin Burgess

So this was the book in the July box of Book Box Club, and its the first book I've been angry and disappointed with. It also worries me how many people are giving this book more than 1 star on Amazon and Goodreads... I would give it none if possible.

There are no trigger warnings, despite this book containing grooming, abuse, rape and victim blaming. This review will contain SPOILERS, and lots of probably incoherent rambling because this book made me angry!

REVIEW! Unwritten by Tara Gilboy

I would like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC for Unwritten by Tara Gilboy. This review will not contain spoilers.

My Auto-Buy Authors

I think the title is pretty self-explanatory but basically this is just a list of the main authors I automatically buy the books from when they release a new book. There actually isn't as many as I thought there were. (Also below book wall from YALC this year because I'm still in love with it).

REVIEW! My Whole Truth by Mischa Thrace

I would like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC for My Whole Truth by Mischa Thrace. This review will not contain spoilers.

REVIEW! Jinxed by Amy McCulloch

This book came in my August Book Box Club and I really liked the sound of it, also helped by the cat silhouette on the cover. As with the other Book Box Club books, I buddy read this one, although this time the buddy read involved 8 of us being in the same room reading it.

My Rating: ★★★★

REVIEW! Wicked Nix by Lena Coakley

I would like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC for Wicked Nix by Lena Coakley. This review will not contain spoilers.

August Favourites 2018

It's that time of the month again where I share with you all a list of my favourite things (in general) that I’ve discovered in the month of August. This one is a little late, I originally planned to post this last week with my reading wrap up but this is me... so here we are on the 12th September.

August Reading Wrap-up

Time for my monthly book summary, I'm a few days late of posting this one and I'm disappointed that the last book has broken my train of 5/5 stars.
